I began knitting in October of 2009 as an excuse to keep my hands busy and give my brain a break in the evenings while I was spending my days working on earning my Ph.D. in neuroscience. Little did I know how addicting, simple, complicated, fascinating, or obsessive knitting could be and it ended up filling a much larger portion of my life than originally intended.
I've started using knitting as a stress reliever for my job and a creative outlet. I have dreams of publishing knitwear designs, but right now I'm just a budding designer. Make sure to check out my Designs page.
I'll be using this blog to share my knitting successes and failures, my progress in my projects, and my designing attempts. I'm quite shy, but really want to be an active participant in the knitting community, so I hope that this blog can help me reach other knitters that I share my interests with.
I live in Dallas, Texas with my SO, one dog, and two kitties. And yes, I'm still working on the Ph.D.
