WIP Wednesday ~October 19th, 2011~

Vivian, my green beast of a sweater, is quickly growing two arms. I love how fast the arms knit up in bulky yarn. (I'm using Knitpick Wool of the Andes Bulky - Love it.)

Despite how fast of a knit this arms are. I really don't have as much to show as I would like.  Why, you ask?  Because I mutilated the left sleeve about 80 rows in.  Yeah, I know ... 80 rows.  Not paying close attention, I didn't realize that I was creating a seam of 2 knits and 2 purls where my needles met. Which is definitely NOT seed stitch.  So I pulled out a whole needle and reknit it. I feel like a knitting champion!

  1. I'm impressed with your fixing skills - I would have had to reknit the whole thing, not just one needle!

  4. Whoa! I have no idea what's going on in that 2nd picture, but I'm in awe of your mad fixin' skillz! Thanks again for knitting this before me -- it makes me feel a little better that it can be done. :)

  6. Just one needle ripped out? Awesome! I'd have frogged and started again. You ARE a knitting champion!

  7. Whoa. I would have cried. And frogged the whole thing. And cried more as I reknit for scratch.

    Go you!

  10. That second picture is amazing. I did something similar with a cable pattern but certainly nowhere near 80 rows worth. Looking forward to seeing the completed project!
